The Flat Classroom Project

OK forget all the verbiage below. Just look at Dean Shareski's Keynote to the students involved in this year's project.

And then ask yourself (as I am) why am I not doing this? How can I do this in my schools? How can I get as good a Dean Shareski? I have many of the same tools. I can do green screen, I have a camera, he has given me clues to how to present well.........Steve.

They have beyond Wikis to include the NING Social Grouping tools and a Twitter follow me.: Here is some verbage from their website abouttheir 2006 project:
"The Flat Classroom Project is a global collaborative project founded by Vicki Davis (Westwood Schools, USA) and Julie Lindsay (Qatar Academy, Qatar) in 2006.
It uses Web 2.0 tools to facilitate communication, interaction and collaboration between students and teachers from all participating classrooms. The topics studied and discussed are real-world scenarios based on 'The World is Flat' by Thomas Friedman.

One of the main goals of the project is to 'flatten' or lower the classroom walls so that instead of each classes working in isolation, 2 or more classes are joined virtually to become one large classroom.
